Founded by designer Rachel Shaw, RUIFIER is a fashion and fine jewellery brand comprised of two complementary lines. The name RUIFIER is derived from the old English word ‘Reify’, which means to create a tangible object from an abstract idea. This concept is developed in the two lines – RUIFIER London and RUIFIER Visage - which explores different sides of Rachel’s inspiration, from her love of graphic urban and natural shapes seen throughout her worldwide travels to the smiling characters of her loved ones, notably her dog, Taiki.
RUIFIER pieces are stories that are told through the transition from inspiration to design, using masterful craftsmanship, detail, precious conflict-free stones and materials including diamonds. The jewellery is created to turn the wearer into a storyteller of their own – many of the pieces can be adapted, interlocked or worn in different ways, making each design unique in the way it is arranged.
In September 2015, RUIFIER won a place in the British Fashion Council jewellery initiative, Rock Vault, curated by Stephen Webster MBE. RUIFIER is stocked worldwide at exceptional stores including Harrods, Bergdorf Goodman, Barney’s New York JP, Colette, Lane Crawford and Selfridge's. The designs have been worn by celebrities including Reese Witherspoon, Jessica Alba, Kristen Wiig, Emma Roberts, Sophie Turner and G-Dragon and have been featured in the world’s leading fashion publications including Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, Marie Claire and L’Officiel.
