JUNIOR JEWELLERY AND ACCESSORIES DESIGNER - MATERNITY COVER
This an exciting opportunity to join luxury brand RUIFIER in a full-time position of Junior Jewellery and Accessories Designer (Maternity Cover). RUIFIER is a luxury fashion & fine jewellery brand based in London stocked worldwide, in stores including Selfridges, The Conran Shop, Colette, Montaigne Market, Bergdorf Goodman, Lane Crawford and Barneys New York JP, to name a few.
The successful candidate will be a skilled designer with excellent sketching skills and a proficiency with Rhino. Working across all jewellery collections with stones, sterling silver and gold metals, the Junior Jewellery and Accessories Designer will create new, innovative, trend-led seasonal ranges that reflect RUIFIER’s modern and contemporary meets playful aesthetic.
Working within a creative team, reporting to the Creative Director, the Designer will be responsible for trend direction, design, product development and the creation of technical specs, liaising regularly with factories. Taking responsibility for the entire design process; the role involves gathering original ideas, reviewing proto samples through to final collection sign off.
This position is for an initial 1 year fixed term maternity cover contract.
MAIN DUTIES
- Contribute ideas for seasonal themes at the start of the season, working collaboratively with the creative director and design team.
- Assisting developing mood boards representing key styles, trends, materials and components.
- Assist in developing complimentary jewellery offering modern designs with a charming and playful angle, reflecting the brand’ luxury positioning in terms of functionality, quality and appearance.
- Sourcing and developing gems, trims and components working with design team.
- Creation of technical specs for manufacturers.
- Review and amend initial proto samples with the team.
- Working with other team member in packaging, marketing and other campaign
- Checking and manage inventory.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Degree in related creative field – eg. Jewellery Design / Fine Art / Product Design.
- A natural interest in design, arts, architecture, fashion, trends, travel.
- A Jewellery Designer with at least 1 year’s experience in a related field.
- A beautifully presented commercial portfolio, demonstrating a creative and modern design aesthetic with strong CAD skills and an eye for shape and colour.
- Experience in managing the ranges, working closely with the design team and Creative Director to meet critical path deadlines.
- Good at working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Passion and enthusiasm.
- Proficient in Rhino, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator with strong drawing skills.

VISUAL AND GRAPHIC DESIGNER

RUIFIER is a luxury fashion & fine jewellery brand based in London stocked worldwide, in stores including Selfridges, The Conran Shop, Colette, Montaigne Market, Bergdorf Goodman, Lane Crawford and Barneys New York JP, to name a few.
This a new position, created in response to the brand’s fast growing online presence. With a strong visual eye and proven creative brilliance, the ideal applicant will be experienced in creating engaging visual content for digital and print use.
Developing visuals for RUIFIER’s social media platforms and ecommerce site - RUIFIER.com – the successful candidate will have a passion for all-things social, keeping abreast of the latest trends, apps and developments. Applicants must be able to use the Adobe Creative Suite to an intermediate level, with photo-editing and gif creation skills highly advantageous.
MAIN DUTIES
- Planning and producing all social media content, ensuring imagery is in-line with the brand’s strong visual aesthetic.
- Producing shoot plans and art directing shoots, managing freelance photographers.
- Supporting the graphic designer to produce brand collateral including lookbooks, press releases and additional brand collateral.
- Acting as brand guardian, you will bring new ideas to the table and turn those ideas into reality through various means.
- Researching art direction concepts, social media trends, visual trends to ensure the social content is constantly innovating.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 2 years creative industry experience.
- BA degree at 2:1 or above in an arts / design / photography / related subject area.
- Outstanding Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign skills.
- Understanding of Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects highly beneficial.
- A very keen eye for detail.
- A proactive attitude with an energy to implement new ideas to the brand.
- Basic image retouching skills necessary.
- A love for storytelling and an ability to bring them to life in a highly engaging way across multiple platforms.
- A natural interest in visual culture; trend forecasting, art, design, architecture, fashion, photography.
- A brilliant art director with a good knowledge of photography, ideally with a beautifully curated personal Instagram account in tow.
- Experience of producing video content highly beneficial.
- Experience working within brand guidelines.
- A team player and natural collaborator.
